| Volunteer Opportunities to help out at CDLC |
Click Here for Online Volunteer Registration Volunteer Coordinator We are looking for 1 or 2 people per session to help coordinate the volunteers for each session.
Car Duty Helpers Help with car duty before and/or after school. It takes approximately 15 minutes before and/or after school. A.M. Session – 8:45-9:00 - 11:30–11:45 P.M. Session – 12:30-12:45 - 3:15-3:30
Cooking Helpers Arrive at school 5-10 min. before school begins to receive instructions. Work with 5 classes one at a time for half an hour each. Teachers are present with the classes. This will require a commitment for the entire 2 1/2-hour session. You will help to measure, mix, roll, cut, or bake some cooking activity with the children.
Share hobbies, occupations, collections or know of interesting presentations for preschoolers
Play a musical instrument Share your talents with the children by introducing and playing a musical instrument. Opening Music I am interested in singing/playing for opening music (either 8:45-9:00 or 12:30-12:45). Assist with bulletin boards and displaying artwork Sewing at home Cut paint shirts. Repair housekeeping items. Sew play clothes (ballerina skirts, cowboy vests, etc.) Make floor pillows. Sew items for the carnival. Simple repairs / painting of toys or equipment Trike maintenance – keeping air in tires, welding From time to time cabinets need repair .We would pay for supplies. Paint People We need people to come in and check and refill the paint and glue on monthly basis. Also, we need help keeping the paint cupboards clean and orderly. Be a member of the C.D.L.C. Clean Team We need people to come in and clean toys on a monthly basis. Picture People We need people to come in and take pictures. Coordinate on-line photo galleries Christmas Program We need one couple per session to dress up as Mary and Joseph (preferably with their own Baby Jesus). Halloween & Christmas Events for Parents following the programs These are times for parents to connect with each other. Halloween Coordinate parent event (immediately after children’s parade) Donate cookies/paper products Christmas Coordinate parent event (immediately after children’s program) Donate cookies/paper products Class Parent Help build strong class connections by forwarding emails to parents regarding the date and time of prearranged class play dates. Hospitality Committee Plan and serve a light lunch for staff on conference days.
Gardeners We need people to help with beautification of the entry and playground area. Office Help Help with various office projects.
