CDLC is blessed with a wonderful, caring group of education professionals with years of experience, consisting of teachers, aides and administrators. All of our staff members are certified in CPR and first aid.

Miss Marie – Director

Marie became the Director at CDLC in July of 2015. Marie has Bachelor of Science degrees in Family and Child Development from Mankato State University, Elementary Education and Kindergarten from Winona State University and Early Childhood Education from the College of St. Catherine. Marie has two grown children. She is an avid card maker, seamstress, gardener and Minnesota Wild fan.

Miss Maureen (P. Mooney) – Language Arts Specialist

Maureen began teaching at CDLC in September 2016. Maureen has an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Education from Normandale Community College and is working on her degree in Child Development. Maureen attended CDLC as a child and has three children who all attended CDLC. When Maureen is not teaching she is a very busy mom and a strong advocate for Autism Awareness. Fun Fact: Maureen’s mother, Karen Dwyer, was our P. Mooney Teacher for many years.

Miss Emily – Music Specialist

Emily has been making music at CDLC since 2019.  She holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in Piano/Voice/Spanish from the University of Duluth and a PhD in Music History/Opera from the University of North Texas.  She also directs the Prince of Peace children’s choir and serves in POP Children’s Ministry.  She loves sharing all kinds of music with young musicians and exploring the world with her toddler.

Miss Dana – Teacher

Dana began teaching at CDLC in September 2016. Dana has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Iowa State University and a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology/Special Education from the University of Minnesota. Dana has two grown children. When Dana is not teaching she and her family enjoy playing and watching sports.

Miss Essie – Teacher

Essie has worked at CDLC since 2017 as an aide and a teacher.  In both positions Essie enjoys being with the children and watching them grow, learn and teach others.  Essie has a degree in Human Services from Rochester, MN Community and Technical College.  In Essie’s free time she likes to be outside, traveling and spending time with her family.  Essie has a son and a daughter.  Essie’s daughter is a graduate of CDLC.

Miss Kendra – Teacher

Miss Kim – Teacher

Kim began teaching at CDLC in September 2022.  She has been a part of the Prince of Peace community for several years volunteering her time in various areas such as on the leadership team for the Thursday AM MOPS groups and VBS.  She graduated from the University of Minnesota – Duluth with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education.  Kim is married to her high school sweetheart and has two children.  Her family loves going on adventures and spending a lot of time outdoors exploring.  Their favorite things to do together are camping, hiking, traveling and trying new things.

Miss Lisa – Teacher

Lisa began teaching at CDLC in February of 2020. Lisa has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Augsburg College and a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Minnesota. Lisa has three children, two of whom attended CDLC. Outside of school Lisa enjoys spending time with her family. Together they enjoy biking, boating and hiking.

Miss Michelle G – Teacher

Michelle began teaching at CDLC in September 2002. Michelle has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Winona State University. Michelle has two children who attended CDLC. She also teaches summers at the Minnesota Zoo.

Miss Michelle K – Teacher

Ms. Michelle joined CDLC in the fall of 2022.  She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities and a Master’s of Education from the College of St. Catherine.  She and her husband have a daughter and a son and three cats.  When not teaching, Michelle enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, crocheting and digging in the garden.  Her favorite children’s book is Winnie-the-Pooh by A.A. Milne.

Miss Rachel – Teacher

Miss Dorean – Aide

Dorean began assisting at CDLC in September 2013. Dorean also works in the Prince of Peace Infant Toddler Center. She has two children and is a very active volunteer at Prince of Peace and her children’s schools.

Miss Mary – Aide

Mary became an aide at CDLC in September 2020.  She is an avid tennis player and loves spending time with her grandchildren.

Miss Shay – Office Assistant

Shay began assisting at CDLC in September 2016. Shay has years of experience as a dance instructor. She has three children who attended CDLC. Shay is a busy mom and devotes many hours to her extended family.
